Custom Chocolates - It's A Boy

I love making chocolates for baby showers. It is such a warm and intimate event. Below are pictures for one of our baby showers. The grandmother wanted classic dark chocolate truffles with "baby collection" print and milk champagne with "it's a boy" print.

I love the little train!

Is that a stork? Cute!!!

Last night, I received an email from a young girl ordering a custom coconut gelato cake for her father's birthday. I requested that she visit the store to order and thanked her for being a valued customer. Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates has been blessed with the success of our products and the warm reception of the Forsyth/Alpharetta community. To expand our operation, I am excited to announce the launch of our e-store (online ordering).

The first phase will be gelato cakes. The second phase will be gift certificates. The final phase will be chocolates. On March 8th, you can order a custom cake from Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates online at http://www.dreamygelato.com/.

Chocolate Boxes

At Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates, everything is customized. From the chocolate type to the ribbon. We have standard boxes for clients wanting an elegant white ribbon and gold box. In addition, we have access to a large selection of boxes and ribbons for our clients to choose from.

My March bride will present her custom truffles in this box finished with magenta ribbon.

The boxes for this event will be a soft purple and the ribbon will be platinum to match the logo.

I am making custom chocolates for a baby shower this weekend. It's A Boy! It will be custom truffles with cute baby boy designs on them.

These designs are very popular. I have made truffles with these designs for several baby showers. My first was for a shower in TN several months ago.

At Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates, we are dedicated to hand making quality products. We enjoy decorating the chocolates, selecting elegant boxes and tying exquisite bow; however, our main purpose is to make and sell our own fresh, high quality, signature products. The packaging and design is important, but will always be second to the taste.

Tejani Goddess Party

Last night, I attended the Tejani Goddess Party at The Geisha House. The Atlantan Magazine was the media sponsor. The party was well attended by both brides and wedding vendors.

I took pictures of the the Tejani bridal collection.

The jewelry was beautiful. As you can see, Oprah is a fan.

After the taste testing, Jasmine selected milk chocolate champagne truffles. The bride's and groom's initials in magenta will be painted on the truffles.

A Little Girl's Valentine Treats

I spent the day with my little girl preparing for her class Valentine party. She wanted chocolate covered oreos with sprinkles. She loves oreos, white chocolate and the color pink so I was happy when I found all the ingredients she needed to make her special treats.

When I worked in consulting and project management, I did not have the opportunity to bring my kids to work. I cannot imagine, taking her to London with me and riding the fast train to Cannon Street Station. The crowds were thick in the mornings. Fortunately, things are simpler here so we enjoyed are time together.

Apparently, she liked the treat. I had to wash her hand and give her gloves. She can't lick the gloves.

Now she is hard at work.

We loved the heart bags.

Hopefully, her classmates love her handmade treats. Her teachers received boxes of truffles. I guess there is an advantage to having a student that parents own chocolate shops:)

Popcorn, Popcorn Everywhere

A couple of days a ago or should I say a little over a week ago, I was blogging about the chocolate covered pretzels we were making for a large corporate order. I wanted to continue with the other chocolate treats.............. chocolate covered popcorn and custom "thank you" truffles. This order was for 60 boxes filled with these three treats. Another set of 60 boxes were filled with custom cup cakes.

The chocolate covered popcorn presented its own set of challenges. All of our products are created fresh before delivery and the deliveries were scheduled for different days over two weeks so I was popping popcorn, tempering chocolates (two different types), pouring chocolate, popping more popcorn, drizzling chocolates............. there was popcorn everywhere.

The truffles were perfect and simple. My client's colors are red and gold so I made white chocolate tuxedo truffles finished with "thank you" in gold. I initially made milk chocolate tuxedos, but settled on the white chocolate in order to bring attention to the truffles in the boxes surrounded by popcorn and pretzels.

Overall, the gift boxes were a huge success. My client hand delivered about a dozen boxes last Monday and she received call back from over half of her client's that day. She has been getting calls ever since.

Custom Chocolates: David Christensen Photography

I want to apologize, it has been over a week since I posted. I have been extremely busy. Sleep is becoming a distant stranger these days and I fear the next couple of weeks are going to get worst. I am very pleased about the exciting projects I am working on, but I will try to blog more as I enter my busy season. I have several projects I wanted to share with my followers over the next couple of days. First, I am working with David Christensen Photography to create custom chocolates for their clients. The interesting and moving aspect of this project is their logo.

This is a very intricate logo to paint on a chocolate. The different colors, fonts, and sizes all present challenges. Not to mention the fact that the letters overlap. I am confident we will overcome these challenges and David Christensen Photography's custom chocolates are going to be breathtaking.

Paisley Umbrella Event - Lucky Paperie's Custom Chocolates

Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates created custom chocolates on behalf of Lucky Paperie for the Paisley Umbrella Event.
The truffle looked elegant on the lovely china.

Lucky Paperie designed the menus and custom tags.

The truffles were dusted with gold to give them a sparkle.

The event was a success and I enjoyed my first visit to the Paisley Umbrella.
