Another Dreamy Gelato Event Season

We are looking forward to another successful event season. Between April and October, we have the opportunity to cater our artisan gelato during unforgettable moments like weddings, corporate events, social events, birthday parties, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs. During the months when we are not catering, we are dreaming up new flavors.

Caramel Dulce de Leche Chocolate Chip is one of our new flavors. Many would say that caramel and dulce de leche are the same thing, but we would politely disagree. We hand make our caramel and dulce de leche differently. Our dulce de leche is made using an Argentinian recipe and our caramel is made using a Southern American recipe (definitely buttery). Combining the dulce de leche, 72% dark chocolate chips and caramel with the creamy vanilla gelato is pure perfection.

We have already served this new flavor during our April 4th wedding and it was a huge success.

Wedding Event - Flavor of the Week

Nutella Gelato

Many of our clients are nutella fans. They love nutella in a jar and it is difficult to get custom, handmade nutella gelato anyway. So when we make nutella gelato for our events, we expect to run out before the event is over.

Popular Holiday Flavor - Apple Cinnamon Gelato

The key to delicious Apple Cinnamon Gelato is patience and practice. I always start with my gelato base recipe and add a little cinnamon. Don't over do the cinnamon because the apple topping also has cinnamon. While the gelato base is churning in the machine, cut fresh apples (don't use canned apples). I prefer medium cut slices versus dicing the apples, but both work fine.

Making the apple topping:
  • Warm sugar and a little water in a pan until caramel consistency
  • Add butter and a little vanilla flavoring
  • Add apple slices to the mixture and continue to cook
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon
  • Cook until apples are soft, but still crispy

Let the apple topping cool. When the gelato base is finish churning, scoop it out and finish with the apple topping. A delicious holiday treat!!!

Popular Fall Wedding Gelato Flavor

I must admit that I constantly eat gelato. I love our gelato and I enjoy other artisan gelato shop flavors as well. Whenever I travel, I must enjoy gelato made by other passionate chefs.

However, I must admit that every now and then there is a popular flavor that I slowly grow to love then become obsessed. At present, a very popular flavor brides are selecting is Sea Salt Caramel gelato. My clients love this flavor. There is something about the salty, creamy gelato mixed with handmade burnt caramel that makes it a huge success.

I am slowly starting to like the flavor that everyone is obsessed with. Maybe as I make it over and over in October, I will become obsessed as well.

Another Dreamy Gelato Wedding!

I love events that have a variety of gelato flavors.

We served caramel gelato (the caramel is made in house from scratch), strawberry gelato (made with fresh strawberries), coconut (one of my personal favorite spring flavors), cappuccino gelato (made with roasted espresso beans) and cookie dough (the dough is made by hand).

We strive to make and serve only the best!

Made with quality ingredients, our lemoncello gelato is light and refreshingwith a flavor that will make your taste buds sing. It’s the perfect gelato for abeautiful day and will remind you of summer, even in the coldest of winters. We take fresh ingredients and mix them together to form the perfect Lemoncello. With gelato like this, how can you help but smile?

Lemoncello is actually an Italian Lemon Liqueur mainly produced in SouthernItaly. There are debates as to where exactly it originated as it is over athousand years old.Our Lemoncello gelato has a light lemony cream taste withall the best traits of a lemon without all of the bitter tang that goes with it.
This gelato is loved mostly by adults but teens seem to love it too and thisgelato is perfect for events. It’s classic and elegant with a side of refinery. This gelato was created by our talented chefs on site.To enjoy this delicious dessert, visit our store or order this flavor for your upcoming event.

Tuesday Talk

Over the past several years, gelato has becoming a very popular frozen dessert across the world. Gelato has been enjoyed by the Italians for many, many years and only recently has gelato come to America. Frozen desserts like gelato and sorbet have become a major part of the American culture.

As a American visiting Rome several years ago, I reminisce on the time I spent visiting the ancient sites and enjoying my hazelnut and chocolate gelato. Delicious!!!!

Now it is your chance to enjoy our dreamy gelato and experience a taste of Italy.

Monday "Must Have"

The Monday "Must Have" for today is our pint size gelato. Cinnamon is my personal favorite today! What could be better than enjoying some dreamy gelato in our classic, Italian, boutique store.......enjoying dreamy gelato in your home anytime you want.

My personal favorite thing to do while enjoying delicious gelato is watching an action packed movie like The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. While Cinnamon gelato is a "must have" dessert and this movie is a "must see". The movie has great action, a wonderful store line. lots of emotions and ties perfectly back to the original movie.

Don't forget your pint of dreamy gelato before you head to the movies.

Indian Wedding - Gelato Cart

A couple of months ago, we catered our first Indian wedding. It was a blast!

Over 300 guests were served gelato in 30 minutes; therefore, the photographer did not have time to capture the serving of the gelato. Unfortunate, but I was still able to obtain some images of the beautiful bride.

This was an Andre Winfrye Event. Click here for more images.
