Popular Holiday Flavor - Apple Cinnamon Gelato

The key to delicious Apple Cinnamon Gelato is patience and practice. I always start with my gelato base recipe and add a little cinnamon. Don't over do the cinnamon because the apple topping also has cinnamon. While the gelato base is churning in the machine, cut fresh apples (don't use canned apples). I prefer medium cut slices versus dicing the apples, but both work fine.

Making the apple topping:
  • Warm sugar and a little water in a pan until caramel consistency
  • Add butter and a little vanilla flavoring
  • Add apple slices to the mixture and continue to cook
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon
  • Cook until apples are soft, but still crispy

Let the apple topping cool. When the gelato base is finish churning, scoop it out and finish with the apple topping. A delicious holiday treat!!!

Popular Fall Wedding Gelato Flavor

I must admit that I constantly eat gelato. I love our gelato and I enjoy other artisan gelato shop flavors as well. Whenever I travel, I must enjoy gelato made by other passionate chefs.

However, I must admit that every now and then there is a popular flavor that I slowly grow to love then become obsessed. At present, a very popular flavor brides are selecting is Sea Salt Caramel gelato. My clients love this flavor. There is something about the salty, creamy gelato mixed with handmade burnt caramel that makes it a huge success.

I am slowly starting to like the flavor that everyone is obsessed with. Maybe as I make it over and over in October, I will become obsessed as well.

Gelato - Indian Wedding

August was a great month for enjoying gelato during a special event.

We had the opportunity to serve gelato during several different types of weddings this month. The lake wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The selection of gelato served during the event was perfect for an outside wedding.

We Have Moved!!!!!

Yes, the news in true. Dreamy Gelato and Chocolates has moved to a commercial kitchen.

We will be focusing exclusively on our catering business. We are extremely excited that we have more space and time to focus on this area of our business that has grown tremendously over the past 3 years.

We enjoyed our time at The Avenue Forsyth/The Collections Forsyth! We will miss our loyal, amazing customers.

We catered several events right after we moved into the new space. Stressful, but very exciting. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@dreamygelato.com.

Cheers!!

Another Dreamy Gelato Wedding!

I love events that have a variety of gelato flavors.

We served caramel gelato (the caramel is made in house from scratch), strawberry gelato (made with fresh strawberries), coconut (one of my personal favorite spring flavors), cappuccino gelato (made with roasted espresso beans) and cookie dough (the dough is made by hand).

We strive to make and serve only the best!

Wedding Favors: Make A Statement

For most brides, the wedding favors are the last thing on the list to select before the big day and for most guests, receiving the favors mark the end of a memorable event. It is very important for the favor to evoke emotions (i.e. happiness, joy, etc), to be unique and to make a statement. What could be a better statement to family and friend then "Thank you"?
