A Gifted Eye - Gelato Cake Photo

Some would say that I am not easily impressed and that may be true. With a background in consulting and as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, I like data and proof. Every now and then, I have the opportunity to observe very gifted people at work. Their jobs may not be fancy nor their resumes accomplished, but they have a gift that has to be a blessing from above. I have met several in my new venture and I wanted to highlight one, Ross Oscar Knight.

What I like about Ross is that he is quiet, observant and humble. He is extremely talented, but not prideful. These are invaluable characteristics.

Custom Pinwhirls

I worked with Shana of Crossroads Cottage to create custom pinwhirls for one of my events next week. See her exceptional work below.

Custom Chocolates JMW Wedding

Last weekend, I customized favors for a large wedding. Everything about this order was customized from the flavor to the ribbon. The bride chose milk chocolate with a champagne ganache. She wanted an very liquid center so we customized our standard champagne recipe to meet her needs. Her monogram was in a raspberry coco butter.

She wanted silver boxes with magenta ribbon so I contacted all my packaging vendor to find her perfect box. The magenta ribbon was shipped from England.

The wedding was held at The Ritz and my good friends at By Tulip did the exceptional flower arrangements. I will post pictures of the event once I receive the professional ones.

Dreamy Chocolates @ The Knot Networking Event

Several weeks ago, I blogged about The Knot's networking event in Atlanta. I have been asked to create a table dedicated to chocolate. The color scheme is white so I will be creating delicious treats all covered in white chocolate. Below is a sample of chocolates I will be creating:

• Milk Chocolate Truffles Covered in White Chocolate Rolled in Almonds
• Dark Chocolate Truffles Covered in White Chocolate
• Milk Brandy Truffles Covered in White Chocolate Topped with a Pearl

Event: Running of the Brides 2009

It's that time of the year again for thousands of brides to stand in line awaiting the opportunity to find that perfect dress at the perfect price.

On March 20th, Q100 will be there with Studio Wed, Atlanta Occasions and of course Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates. Chocolate samples will be available while supplies last.

Wedding Soiree on CBS

This weekend, I met with Gail and Hester the owners/planners of Wedding Soiree. It was a blast as usual. We discussed the design of their custom chocolates. I'm not sharing details just yet.

A Platnium Wedding - Mazyck

It has not been a year since the doors of Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates have open and I have had the opportunity to create some exquisite chocolates for several exceptional weddings. In two weeks, our custom truffles will be given to hundreds of guests at the Mazyck Wedding. Some of the best vendors in Atlanta are participating in this wedding. The bride and her family have been wonderful to work with. I will post pictures of the chocolates and the event once I receive them from the photographer. See the couple's wedding blog.

Pure Art: Blue World Studio

Recently, amazing photos were taken by Blue World Studio during a Studio Wed Atlanta bridal show. Exceptional pictures were taken and I wanted to feature different aspects of the design. First, I wanted to highlight pictures taken of our chocolates.

Travel: Stonehenge

As Expats in England, we had the opportunity to travel across Europe. Today, I wanted to feature our visit to Stonehenge. Our first trip once we arrived in England was to Bristol, Bath and Stonehenge. I loved every minute of it. Stonehenge was so old and isolated in the countryside.

It was absolutely breathtaking.

This is my favorite picture of my kids at Stonehenge. I love the contrast between my young children and the old structure.
