Something Blue - Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta & The Atlantan Bride

I just finished the custom chocolates for the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta & The Atlantan Bride event this weekend. After I finished wrapping the boxes in our luxury European ribbon, everything looked so precious. We create custom truffles for Modern Luxury (The Atlantan Bride and The Atlantan). I wanted to deviate from our standard Atlantan Bride truffle flavor, but Celeste at Modern Luxury is a big fan of our milk champagne. So milk champagne it is.

I will post pictures of the event next week.

Presenting Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates

I had the opportunity last night to be the guest speaker for the Georgia Branch of the Association of Bridal Consultants. The dinner was held at the City Club of Buckhead.

The club had very elegant decor

The window ceiling was amazing

The service was exceptional

The dining area was classic and the food was very good. Unfortunately, it looked so good that I forgot to take a picture.

Sample boxes of our custom chocolates

Overall, the night was fun and the chocolates were a hit. My favorite part of the night was watching everyone enjoy the chocolates.

On another note, I wanted to recognize some extraordinary women that I have work with. Gail & Hester of Wedding Soiree voted the #1 Wedding Planner in Atlanta, Nicole of Peachtree Weddings voted #4 Wedding Planner in Atlanta and Shannon of Belletti Photography voted #3 Photographer in Atlanta. Shanoon took some exceptional pictures of my chocolates featured in The Atlantan, The Atlantan Bride, AJC, etc.

Southern Wedding Launch Party

I had a blast last night at the SW Launch Party. I could not decide what type of truffles to make for the event, but I settled on a white chocolate truffle with a dark chocolate ganache. The dark chocolate ganache had a hint of Tahitian vanilla bean. I finished the truffle with gold dust to give it a little sparkle.

The event was held at The Dogwood Restaurant in Atlanta. The restaurant was beautiful, the food exceptional and the service unmatched. I was happy to see my truffles disappear minutes into the celebration.

I send my congrats to the ladies at SW.

Southern Weddings Launch Party

A day or two ago, I received a call from Eliana Baucicault the owner of By Your Side Events. She was interested in getting me involved in the Southern Weddings' launch party. After discussions with Laura Eastes at SW, I was on board and excited. I will be creating custom chocolates for the event. I am not sure what I will create, but I am excited about the opportunity. I am sure a number of Atlanta's best wedding experts will be at this event. Mark your calendar!!!!!

My custom chocolates will be provided courtesy of Studio Wed Atlanta.
Thanks Eliana!

Custom Chocolates: Allen Wedding

The Allen wedding was all about detail and elegance. Every item was personally designed by the bride. I normally work with wedding planners, but on occasion, I have the opportunity to work directly with the bride and groom. The Allens were looking to create a custom chocolate and I worked with them to create a new line of wedding chocolates. I am confident more brides will be requesting this custom chocolate.

The bride wanted her monogram in red wine so we selected a white chocolate background.

Since some of chocolates were solid white and others were white with milk chocolate centers, we selected a sweet, yet mild white chocolate with a hint of vanilla.

The detail in this design was amazing. My amateur picture could not completely capture the beauty of this chocolate.
.
Fortunately, Dean Ruiz of Dean Ruiz Photography has promised to send me pictures of my chocolates and the wedding. He also emailed me the following:
".......your chocolates were a huge success! Many of your chocolates didn't even make it out of the door, simply because it tasted as delicious as it looked......... Dreamy Gelato & Chocolates did a phenomenal job! We overheard so many positive comments about how classy the chocolates looked, and how it was such a wonderful idea."

What A Year!

This has been an exciting year full of ups and downs. I have learned so much and 2009 is only going to get better. This year, I have met a number of exceptional individuals in the wedding industry like Michelle Gainey of StudioWed, Lauren Brewton of Events with Grace, Ashley Baber of Ashley Baber Weddings, Ross Oscar Knight of Ross Oscar Knight Photography, Shannon Belletti of Belletti Photography, Gail Johnson of Wedding Soireee, and so many more.

I started this year with a determination to start my own business; however, I had no clients, but I am starting 2009 with a wedding a day after New Years and a feature article in The Atlantan Bride.

WOW, What A Year!

Gelato For The Holidays

The past couple of weeks and the next couple of weeks, we will be dedicated almost 100% to making chocolate for the holidays. I feel like I am neglecting my artisan gelato that was a huge success during the summer. Those hot summer days were so busy I was getting little sleep.

I wanted to share some pictures of our gelato from this summer. I will be posting more chocolate pictures soon. I have to make custom chocolates for a wedding coming up at The Georgian Terrace Hotel. In addition, I have holiday and corporate chocolates to create. I will be sure to take pictures and share as much as I can.

Corporate Chocolates - Divine Occasions

As Christmas approaches, I have started to receive corporate chocolate orders. I receive orders from large companies and small entrepreneurs like Kathy Grates of Divine Occasions. Kathy is an event planner that I have been working with over the past couple of months. To create her ideal box of truffles, Kathy selected a number of truffles from our standard collection and we collaborated to develop her own custom chocolates. These custom truffle boxes will be gifts to her clients and vendors. Below are pictures of Divine Occasions' custom chocolates.
